I had a fight with tissue packages just yesterday and I laughed so hard that my face almost turned into a frozen honeycake :-)

Hey my friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas time with your familiy and friends.
My time at my parents' house was great and I enjoyed the celebration of Christ's birth. For two days now I am barricading 
myself in my small room at home in Marburg working on my essay for english class. It is freaking
cold in my room and most of the time I am sitting  stock-stiff in front of my computer. The issue I am working on is not easy to deal with: I am feeling for the men and women I am writing about - people that live under hindered conditions. This very moment I am thinking about Christopher Reeve whom most of us will know as Superman. His life is pretty interesting. A sentence of his book tells to what degree: when you read about all the things he accomplished you can hardly believe that it is the story about only one man - his biography is as thick as a telephone directory :-) 
When he was only 42 years old he was paralyzed as a result of an accident. All 359 pages of his
book you can feel pain about his fate, but still you will be impressed by his honesty and courage 
to live and striving not to resign. I may tell you more about my essay when I am finished. Today
I was so lost in my work that I cannot believe that the day is already almost over. I did not see
any person until 4 pm. To get a break once in a while I am dancing around to loud music or watching scrubs. For all of you who might know this TV series, Dr Dorian daydreams a lot and right after watching it today I talked to a guy outside the window and after two sentences he started talking english to me. I felt like being in scrubs and daydreaming but I guess it really happened :-)

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Endlich war es soweit. Wir waren "nur" noch zu dritt in der WG, weil die anderen drei ausgeschwärmt sind zum Praktikum. So hatten wir anderen die einmalige Gelegenheit endlich unser "hübsches" Wohnzimmer zu renovieren. Die Chose habe ich ausführlich dokumentiert und das Resultat aus sehr viel Spaß und Improvisation könnt ihr hier bewundern. Und, ok, ihr könnt auch "nette" Kommentare abgeben. :-) Die Wände bleiben übrigens nicht so kahl, sondern werden noch mit weiteren Bilder verziert, die ich eventuell hier nachrüste.
